SABBATH MEANING

 Sabbath

Keep the Sabbath Holy

Jer 17:19  Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

Jer 17:20  And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

Jer 17:21  Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;

Jer 17:22  Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

Jer 17:23  But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

Jer 17:24  And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;

Jer 17:25  Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

Jer 17:26  And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.

Jer 17:27  But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

SABBATH, n.

1. The day which God appointed to be observed by the Jews as a day of rest from all secular labor or employments, and to be kept holy and consecrated to his service and worship. This was originally the seventh day of the week, the day on which God rested from the work of creation; and this day is still observed by the Jews and some christians, as the sabbath. But the christian church very early begun and still continue to observe the first day of the week, in commemoration of the resurrection of Christ on that day, by which the work of redemption was completed. Hence it is often called the Lords day. The heathen nations in the north of Europe dedicated this day to the sun, and hence their christian descendants continue to call the day Sunday. But in the United States, christians have to a great extent discarded the heathen name, and adopted the Jewish name sabbath.

2. Intermission of pain or sorrow; time of rest.

Peaceful sleep out the sabbath of the tomb.

3. The sabbatical year among the Israelites. Lev 25.

SABBATH

 WELL TODAY IS THE SABBATH AND ALSO THE FIRST SATURDAY I HAVE OFF AFTER ASKING FOR THE SABBATH OFF.  I PRAYED FOR THIS AND IT WORKED OUT.  GOD WORKS ON HIS TIME.  I'VE BEEN BACK AT WALMART FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS, IN AUGUST. THERE WERE THINGS HAPPENING AT THE STORE THAT ALLOWED ME TO PUT IN FOR THIS AND CIRCUMSTANCES AT HOME, THAT MADE THIS HAPPEN IN GODS TIME AND PLACE.

I HAVE ALOT OF WORK TO DO TO GET BACK TO STUDING REGUARLY.  THINGS ARE MOVING FORWARD SLOWLY BUT AT A GOOD PACE.  GOD IS GOOD , GOD IS GREAT .

HONEYBUN HAS BEEN WITH US FOR A YEAR NOW FROM FEBRUARY AND IS GETTING ALONG WITH EVERYONE AND HAS HER ROUTINE DOWN.  SHE HAS SOME GREAT ATTRIBUTES FROM HARLEY AND ZOEY.

FALCOR IS GOING BLIND AND WE PUT HIM ON HIP MEDS TO HELP WITH HIS BACK END. WHICH SEEMS TO HELP.

Pro 25:2  ¶ It is the glory of God to conceal the word, but the honour of kings is to search out the word.

Pro 25:3  For the height of the heavens and depth of the earth and for the heart of kings, there is no investigation.

THERE IS SO SO SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE IN THE BIBLE OF HOW TO LIVE LIFE AND BE A PERSON ON THIS PLANET.  TO MAKE YOU THINK AND USE THE BRAIN THAT GOD GAVE US.

IT TELLS US HOW TO LIVE, WHAT TO EAT, HOW TO BEHAVE AND REACT TO SITUATIONS IN EVERYDAY LIFE AND CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.  IT'S SAD HOW SOCIETY HAS BECOME SO LOST AND CONFUSED.

I STAY IN PRAYER ALL DAY AND EVERYDAY AND TRY TO SAY THE LORDS PRAYER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.

GOD IS GOOD, GOD IS GREAT..

CHURCH ~ WORD IN THE BIBLE.

THE WORD CHURCH IN THE BIBLE ISN'T MENTIONED UNTIL THE NEW TESTAMENT AND JESUS IS BORN.  THE CHURCH IS THE PEOPLE.

THE PEOPLE THAT BELIEVED IN JESUS AND WHAT HE WAS.  GOD IN THE FLESH

THE CHURCH IS THE HEART OF PEOPLE AND THEIR LOVE OF GOD AND JESUS

READ EACH VERSE AND WHEN YOU READ CHURCH IN EACH LINE REPLACE IT WITH  YOUR HEART AND BELIEF IN GOD.

Act_14:23  And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

Act_14:27  And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

1Co_14:4  He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

1Co_14:5  I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

1Co_14:12  Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
