31 YRS OF SOBRIETY TODAY..

 TODAY MY HUSBAND CELEBRATES HIS 31 YRS OF SOBRIETY FROM ALCOHOLISM. AND I'M SO PROUD OF HIM, BECAUSE I'M SURE IT'S NOT EASY IN TODAYS WORLD TO STAY SOBER. THE ABOVE PICTURE IS FROM OUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER, WHICH INTERVEIWED HIM ABOUT HIS ADDICTION RECOVERY, WITH HIS BELOVED 'PUNKY' THE PUG.

WHEN WE MET IN LATE 1999, i HAD JUST MOVED TO FLORIDA FROM THE COLD NORTH, AND HE WAS EIGHT YEARS SOBER. I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM FOR SO MANY REASONS, HIS DEDICATION TO BEING SOBER AND HELPING OTHERS DO THE SAME, WAS ONE OF THEM, BECAUSE I HAD JUST LOST MY MOM TO THIS DISEASE TWO YEARS PRIOR.  THERE'S 13 YRS DIFFERNCE BETWEEN US IN AGE, THE 13th OF 9/91 WAS THE START DATE OF HIS SOBRIETY, THE DAY OF HIS LATE FATHER'S BIRTH, AND HIS FIRST RACING MOTORCYCLE AND STOCK CAR'S NUMBERS, THAT HE BUILT, RACED, AND WON WITH, SO THAT'S HIS LUCKY NUMBER,

DURING THE 2004 HURRICANE SEASON WE WERE LIVING IN A WOOD FRAME HOUSE WE OWNED AND LIVED THRU A HURRICANE THAT TOOK A PART OF THE ROOF OFF WITH US IN IT! I FELT IT MIGHT NOT BE SAFE FOR US, SO TRISTAN  FOUND A HOUSE DOWN THE STREET THAT WAS CBS BLOCK THRU A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE OF HIS.WHO  RENTED IT TO US...AND IMMEDIATELY RODE OUT TWO MORE BACK TO BACK HURRICANES IN IT IN ONE PIECE, ALONG WITH A FEW MORE LATER ONES.  OUR 'LITTLE HOUSE IN THE HIGLANDS' THAT WE MOVED INTO WAS BUILT IN 1958, THE SAME YEAR THAT TRISTAN WAS BORN.  WE WERE MEANT TO LIVE HERE.  THIS HOUSE HAS HELD UP THROUGH SEVERAL HURRICANES AND TROPICAL STORMS SINCE THEN.  WE ENDED UP BUYING IT IN 2005 WHEN TRISTAN'S FATHER, WHO WAS IN HIS LATE 80'S, ASKED HIM TO HELP CARE FOR HIM. HIS FATHER HAD FALLEN, BROKEN HIS THIGH'S FEMUR, SO BADLY, THAT THEY HAD TO PIN/SCREW IT TOGETHER, AND  HE HAD BEGUN HAVING HEALTH/DEMENTIA  ISSUES. TRISTAN BORROWED SOME MONEY FROM HIS FATHER AND BOUGHT THE MUCH BIGGER HOUSE NEXT DOOR FOR US TO LIVE IN BUT IT NEEDED WORK SO WE RENTED ANOTHER LARGER HOUSE FOR A WHILE TO LET HIS FATHER LIVE IN WITH ROUND THE CLOCK PRIVATE CARE GIVERS HE FOUND (WE BOTH WORKED FULL TIME THEN. I WAS A CSM FOR WALMART AND TRISTAN WAS RUNNING A BUSINESS WITH FOUR FULLTIME EMPLOYEES, PLUS WE BOTH WORKED THE LIVE CATCH AND RELEASE TRAP LINES THRU OUT THE COUNTY , AND TRISTAN WAS REPAIRING THE HOUSE WE PLANNED TO ALL LIVE TOGEHTER IN. 

TRISTAN WAS IN A BAD MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT WHEN HE WAS 26 AND WAS TOLD BY THE DOCTORS THAT HE WOULD NEVER WALK AGAIN. BUT HE DIDN'T LET THAT STOP HIM, AND HE FOUGHT BACK TO BE ABLE TO WALK AGAIN, AND DID WITH ALOT OF HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION, AND THE HELP OF A VERY DETERMINED PHYSICAL THERAPIST NURSE PRACTIONER.  

 HE DEALS WITH BACK PAIN AND NECK PAIN EVERY DAY FROM THIS, BUT DESPITE ALL THAT, HE GOT SOBER ON SEPTEMBER 13th, 1991. THAT'S THE YEAR AND THE MONTH THAT I WENT INTO BASIC TRAINING!! BUT  I FRACTURED MY ANKLE ON A MORNING RUN IN BASIC TRAINING AND WAS IN A CAST FOR 6 WKS. I WASN'T ABLE TO PASS THE 2 MILE RUN AND HAD TO GET AN HONORABLE/MEDICAL DISCHARGE FROM THE MILITARY.

  THE ONE TRAIT I LOVE ABOUT TRISTAN, IS THAT EVEN IF HES HAVING A BAD DAY (AND DUE TO PAIN LEVELS HE HAS MANY) IT DOESN'T STOP HIM FROM TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE SMILE AND LAUGH...

IT HASN'T BEEN EASY AND WE RELY ALOT ON GOD IN OUR LIVES TO GET US THROUGH THE HARD TIMES, AND WE RELY ON EACH OTHER.  WE BICKER ALOT, BECAUSE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN US, FREQUENTLY CAUSES TENSIONS TO RISE BETWEEN US, BUT DEEP DOWN INSIDE WE KNOW WE'VE GOT EACH OTHERS BACKS.  I BELIEVE THAT GOD SENT ME TO TRISTAN, AND THATS HOW WE MET, OUR RELATIONSHIP HAS ENDURED A LOT OF PAIN, SORROW AND ANGST, AND THE GOOD TIMES HAVE BEEN THE BEST ONES, OF BOTH OF OUR LIVES. WE ARE  PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR LIVES TOGEHTER AS A TEAM UNIT, AND OUR SHARED BELIEFS, AND INTERESTS, AND WHAT WE STAND FOR. ALSO WE BOTH SERVED IN THE ARMY WHICH IS A BOND TO EACH OTHER AND COUNTRY, ONLY THOSE WHO SERVED, KNOW.

WE HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED IN OUR "HIGHER POWER" . WITH ME IT WAS AL-ANON THAT BROUGHT ME TO START TO BELIEVE AND SEE.  AS I'VE SAID BEFORE I WASN'T RAISED IN A FAMILY THAT BELIEVED OR TALKED ABOUT GOD. TRISTAN HAS BEEN MY "ROCK", HE HAS HELPED ME AND TAUGHT ME TO BELIEVE AND KNOW THAT GOD IS REAL. FOR A LONG TIME, I USED TO BLAMED MYSELF, THAT I WAS THE CAUSE OF MY MOM'S DRINKING AND DEATH RELATED TO IT , BECAUSE OF DECISIONS I MADE WHEN I LIVED WITH HER, AND HOW I TREATED HER, BUT TRISTAN SHOWED ME, THAT GOD HAS FORGIVEN ME, AND THAT BY BLAMING MYSELF, IS LIKE SAYING THAT GOD ISN'T REAL, BY NOT ACCEPTING FULLY, THE FORGIVENESS THAT HE'S GIVEN ME.  

 TRISTAN AND I TALK OFTEN ABOUT THE BIBLE AND GOD,  AND IT SEEMS LATELY, THAT WE HAVE A LOT MORE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT FAITH IN, AND OBEDIENCE TO, GOD'S WILL, AND HOW IT RELATES TO OUR LIVES, AND A WORLD GONE BATCHIT CRAZY.  

 WHEN I MET TRISTAN HE HAD A SWEET RESCUED ONE YEAR OLD GERMAN SHEPHERD, NAMED 'Maxwell', WHOM SOMEONE ABANDONED, AS A PUPPY, IN A BOX, IN A PARKING LOT! HE ALSO HAD A TOTALLY ADORABLE LITTLE SEVEN YEAR OLD FEMALE PUG, NAMED 'PUNKY'. EVERYONE... EVEN PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T LIKE DOGS ..LOOOOVED PUNKY! SHE WAS A SOBRIETY GIFT FROM A FRIEND IN ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, FOR MAKING HIS FIRST YEAR SOBER.  HE STATES THAT PUNKY KEPT HIM SOBER, BECAUSE HE KNEW THAT IF HE PICKED UP, EVEN ONE DRINK, HE WOULD BE ON THE STREETS AGAIN, AND HE DIDN'T WANT THAT FOR HIS PUG. in the last 20 YEARS, we've bought, and rescued many abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs . we've had up to 10 at one time, when  we had two houses side by side, with a combine acre of fenced land for them to run in. I wanted shepherd pups from maxwell, because  he had such an awesome disposition, and he was getting old, so we found a female Shepherd, and bred them once. had nine pups (that was SO fun, my little 'wolf pack' ). We found homes for seven and kept the two runt ones.          Sadly dogs don't live as long as we would like them to, and by the time we had been together for 20 years, we were down to a female pug and a male German Shepard again, the same breed, gender, and number of dogs (A female pug, and a male German Shepard) that Tristan had when I met him. He has a kind, but firm way of training them, and the pic below shows how well they walked with him. I couldn't do that so well... we always ended up a tangled mess. lol. 

  

Tristan HAD SEVERAL BUSINESSES BEFORE I MET HIM, AND WHILE WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER.  HE IS A NATURE LOVER AND VERY ENVIRONMENTALLY CONCIOUS, LOVES TO SCRAP METALS AND REFURBISH/REPAIR/REPURPOSE OTHER PEOPLE'S CAST OFF'S. SINCE HE WAS A BOY, HE COLLECTED GLASS POP BOTTLES FOR CASH, AND THEN LATER, AS AN ADULT HE BEGAN COLLECTING, PROCESSING (HARD WORK), AND SELLING FERROUS IRON, STEEL AND NON-FERROUS METALS, SUCH AS ALUMINUM, STAINLESS STEEL, COPPER, BRASS, AND FROM OLDER TV'S AND COMPUTERS, HE RECOVERED COPPER, SILVER, AND GOLD. ALSO, WHEN I MET HIM, HE HAD BEEN A 'LIVE CATCH AND RELEASE' NUISANCE ANIMAL TRAPPER SINCE HE WAS A CHILD, TAUGHT BY HIS GRANDFATHER. WE HAD A BUSINESS TOGETHER FOR A FEW YEARS TRAPPING NUSIANCE ANIMALS IN SOUTHEAST FLORIDA, AND THEN CONTINUED IT FOR A WHILE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA, WHERE WE MOVED TO ESCAPE THE CRIME THAT CAME WITH THE DEMOCRATS TAKING OVER THAT AREA POLITICALLY. We both love animals DEEPLY and this is another reason why I fell in love with Tristan.    

Tristan also tries to give back by mentoring people with addiction issues, and helping people less fortunate than us, that are in need. he is also adamant about telling people the truth and being honest with them, even though sometimes people resent him for that.  he's helped many people on fixed incomes, many times out of pocket for materials, and with free labor in our area, and continues to do so today.  he does it quietly, and humbly, and He never turns a blind eye to a homeless person, and he does it because it's right, and he feels he owes God that, for all the large and small blessings god has bestowed upon him.

ZOEY IS 16 YRS OLD AND STILL GOING STRONG.  I AM ALWAYS TALKING  ABOUT HER AS SHE'S THE LAST OF OUR 5 PUGS AND HAS THE ENERGY/STAMINA OF A TASMANIAN DEVIL, BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T LET ANYTHING STOP HER. 

SHE'S BEEN THROUGH 3 GENERATIONS OF GERMAN SHEPHERDS!! 

SHE'S GONE BLIND, AND SHE HAS A BAD BACK(GENETIC DEFECT FROM BIRTH) AND HER REAR LEGS ARE GIVING OUT (SEE PICTURE BELOW) SLOWLY. BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP HER.  SHE STILL EATS, PEES, POOPS, GETS LOUD WHEN SHE IS HUNGRY, AND SHE'S BEEN LIKE THIS FOR OVER 2 YRS.  SHE'S AN AMAZING PUG!  

THE REASON I'M WRITING ABOUT HER IS BECAUSE SHE TAKES UP ALOT OF MY TIME AT HOME WITH WASHING HER, FEEDING HER, AND HELPING HER WHEN SHE NEEDS IT.  SHE LETS ME KNOW.  

SHE HAS A GROWTH ON HER HEAD THAT COULD BE CANCER AND WE'RE TREATING IT WITH CALAMINE LOTION TO KEEP IT SMALL AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING, BUT SHE KEEPS RUBBING IT OFF BY BUMPING INTO THINGS BECAUSE OF HER BLINDNESS. 

SHE'S ON ONE CRANBERRY PILL A DAY TO KEEP HER BLADDER CLEAN AND SHE DRINKS WATER WHEN SHE NEEDS TO, AND PEES LIKE A CRACKED HOVER DAM 

I'VE WATCHED HER MOVING ABOUT AND MANUEVERING TO FIND THE WATER BOWL AND HER FOOD BOWL, SHE USES HER NOSE AND SHE KNOWS WHERE TO GO BECAUSE WE KEEP THINGS IN THE SAME PLACE FOR HER,  FOR THAT REASON. 

SHE'S TIPPED OVER THE WATER BOWL A FEW TIMES TRYING TO MANUEVER, BUT GENERALLY SHE KNOWS WHERE IT IS AND HOW TO STAND TO DRINK AND GET HER FOOTING GOOD SO SHE DOESN'T FALL OVER IN IT.  

SHE SOMETIMES NEEDS TO BE HELD AND COMFORTED LIKE WE ALL DO, BECAUSE OF HER BLINDNESS SHE GETS SCARED AND INSECURE, AND ONCE I HOLD HER AND TALK TO HER FOR A LITTLE WHILE, SHE'S OK. SHE'S CALM AND KNOWS THAT WE'RE THERE FOR HER AND EVERYTHING IS OK. 

GOD IS SHOWING US THROUGH HER, THAT DESPITE ALL THAT'S WRONG WITH HER, THAT WE HAVE TO KEEP GOING EVEN WHEN THINGS ARE BAD.  

GOD HAS SHOWN US THAT THE PRESENT TIME REPRESENTS THE PAST, EXAMPLE, WHEN WE LOST OUR LAST GERMAN SHEPARD, AVA, WE WERE AT OUR 20 YRS OF TRISTAN AND I BEING TOGETHER FROM WHEN WE FIRST MET, AT THAT TIME WE WERE DOWN TO ZOEY (FEMALE PUG)AND FALCOR (MALE GERMAN SHEPHERD) THAT WE STILL HAVE NOW.   

WE HAD  10 DOGS AT ONE TIME, 17 IF YOU COUNT ALL THE PUPS FROM WHEN WE MATED MAXWELL AND HEIDI (GERMAN SHEPHERDS) WHO  HAD 9 PUPS AND AVA AND ADOLF (WHO HAD DM) WERE THE PUPS THAT WE KEPT, PLUS WE HAD A ROTTWEILLER/ BLOODHOUND MIX AND THE OTHER 4 PUGS.)))

WHEN I MET TRISTAN, HE HAD A FEMALE PUG AND A MALE GERMAN SHEPARD.  HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE????

SO JUST LIKE THIS, EXAMPLE AND REAL LIFE, THE NEW TESTAMENT OF THE BIBLE REFERS BACK TO THE OLD TESTAMENT OF THE BIBLE, THEY AREN'T SEPERATE, THEY GO TOGEHTER, AND THE NEW TESTAMENT ALWAYS REFERS BACK TO THE OLD TESTAMENT, WITH REFERNECE OF MOSES AND NOAH, AND THE COMMANDMENTS.  

GOD IS REAL AND WORKING IN OUR LIVES, WE JUST HAVE TO BE WILLING TO LISTEN AND SEE AND DO THE FOOTWORK TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO KEEP GOING!!!

ALSO, I HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LORD, SAYING, WHOM SHALL I SEND, AND WHO WILL GO FOR US? THEN SAID I, HERE AM I; SEND ME.  ISAIAH 6:8

 I HAVE HEARD THE VOICE OF THE LORD SEVERAL TIMES, AT TIMES I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS GOD, BUT I DO NOW.  I WASN'T SURE UNTIL I WAS IN MY 30'S AND STARTED TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE WORKING AND WHERE I WAS BEING LED.  SOMETIMES GOD WILL PUT YOU ON A MISSION AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT, AND SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WITHOUT YOU EVEN KNOWING.  GOD CAN AND DOES WORK MIRACLES. 

SO IF YOU LOVE THE LORD AND WANT TO FOLLOW HIS COMMANDMENTS, WILL YOU FOLLOW HIS GUIDANCE AND OBEY? OR WILL YOU PRETEND THAT YOU DIDN'T HEAR IT, AND NOT DO ANYTHING?  

GOD HEARS AND SEES EVERYTHING!! HE KNOWS WHAT WE THINK AT ALL TIMES.  

ARE YOU WILLING TO BE SENT BY THE LORD?  ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL?  ARE YOU WILLING TO STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND DO GODS WILL? 

 IF YOU'RE LISTENING FOR GOD AND HEAR HIM, IT DOES MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO DO GOD'S WILL AND WHAT HE'S CALLING YOU TO DO.  

I LISTENED TO GOD WHEN HE TOLD ME TO MOVE TO FLORIDA. AND I TRAVELED TO FLORIDA FOR MY MISSION AND FOUND MY HUSBAND WHO WAS A BELIEVER AND A RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC.  IT WAS A SIGN FROM GOD, SAYING THIS IS WHERE I WANT YOU TO BE.  

I HAVE A FREIND THAT HAS DIED AND WENT TO THE OTHER SIDE AND SPOKE TO GOD AND HE TOLD HER THAT SHE WASN'T DONE WITH HER LIFE HERE ON THIS SIDE, AND SENT HER BACK, BUT TOLD HER THAT SHE HAD A MISSION TO COMPLETE. 

 

IF YOU ARE LISTENING AND WILLING TO DO GOD'S WILL, THEN GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU.  FOLLOW HIS LEAD, IF YOU DON'T FEEL HE IS LEADING YOU, THEN PREPARE YOURSELF TO BE SENT, PRAY THAT HE WILL SEND YOU, AND WAIT FOR HIM.

LORD, I WANT TO DO YOUR WILL. YOU HAVE SAVED ME AND I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THAT. YOU ARE TOO GOOD TO ME. SEND ME.  I WANT TO DO YOUR WORK. I WANT TO DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE FOR ME. IF YOU ASK ME TO BE A CLOWN, I WILL, IF YOU ASK ME TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS WITH A FRIEND OR STARNGER, I WILL SPEAK. IF YOU ASK ME TO GIVE UP MY POSSESSIONS, I WILL. David Spares Saul's Life

1Sa 24:1  And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi. 

1Sa 24:2  Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. 

1Sa 24:3  And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave. 

1Sa 24:4  And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. 

1Sa 24:5  And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. 

1Sa 24:6  And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 

1Sa 24:7  So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO AFRAID TO READ THE BIBLE? 

BECAUSE IT'S ABOUT DYING AND DEATH? 

BECAUSE THEY LIKE TO SIN AND DON'T WANT TO BE A GOOD PERSON? 

BECAUSE THEY CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO DO SOME READING AND FIND OUT HOW EASY IT IS AND HOW REFRESHING AND LOVING GOD CAN BE? 

BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW THAT THEY'VE BEEN LIED TO FOR YEARS AND TOLD FALSE INFORMATION? 

WHY?? IS IT BORING? IS IT TOO CONFUSING?? 

WHY??

FOR ME, IT WAS BECAUSE I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT AND I WASN'T RAISED AROUND IT AND/OR  TOLD ABOUT IT.  MY GRANDMOTHER WENT TO CHURCH REGULARY, BUT THE REST OF MY FAMILY NEVER DID.  I WASN'T BROUGHT TO SUNDAY SCHOOL AS A CHILD AND PARENTS WERE BUSY WORKING. I MYSELF, BELIEVE THAT GOD IS OUR SAVIOUR AND THAT HE SENT HIS SON JESUS, TO SAVE US AND WILL RETURN. 

I MYSELF BELIEVE THAT I HAVE AN IMMUNE SYSTEM THAT WAS MADE BY GOD WHEN HE CREATED ME AND ALL OF US.  HE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED OUR BODIES TO HEAL THEMSELVES.  THERE'S PROOF OUT THERE. 

THE VACCINE IS A DANGEROUS ONE AND DOESN'T PREVENT COVID BUT ACTUALLY GIVES IT TO YOU, THEY SAY TO HELP YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM, FIGHT IT, BUT IT DOESN'T.  

THE VACCINE IS CAUSING TONS OF DISEASES IN PEOPLE, CANCER, HEART ATTACKS, NOW A NEW ONE, SADS: SUDDEN ADULT DEATH SYNDROME . WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN HEARD OF BEFORE.  IT'S CAUSING MAJOR BLOOD CLOTS IN MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

PEOPLE TODAY AREN'T TAKING CARE OF THEIR BODIES AS THEY SHOULD, EAT UNHEALTHY FOODS AND DON'T EXCERCISE AND SIT FOR HOURS IN FRONT OF THE TV OR COMPUTER.  (I AM ALSO IN THIS GROUP AS I'VE DONE, THIS AND STILL DO, BUT TRYING TO CHANGE MY HABITS, AND DO BETTER)

PEOPLE HAVE SAID IN THE PAST THAT THERE WAS GOING TO BE A TIME WHEN THE MARK OF THE BEAST WOULD HAPPEN,.. WELL IT'S NOW.  THE VACCINE IS THE MARK AND IT'S STATING THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD AND HIS POWERS TO HEAL YOU.  

SO FOR ANYONE  WHOSE TAKEN IT AND YOU BELIEVE, DO SOME RESEARCH AND LOOK INTO THIS.  PLEASE.

I DON'T HAVE CABLE, TV, OR WATCH THE NEWS.  I DO CHECK NEWS WEBSITES FOR WHAT'S GOING ON, BUT IT'S MOSTLY NEGATIVE. AND SAD TO SEE WHAT WE AS A HUMAN RACE HAVE SUCCOMED TO.  WE ARE CLEARLY IN THE END TIMES AND GOD IS SEPARATING THE GOOD FROM THE BAD.  THIS PROVES IT: 

John the Baptist Prepares the Way

Mat 3:1  In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 

Mat 3:2  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 

Mat 3:3  For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

SINS

The 10 commandments cover alot of bases of what not to do in order to not sin.  Such as worshipping other gods or people, idolizing them and worshipping their every move.  

We are not to make any image of or likeness of whats in heaven, earth or in the water below.  what does this mean?  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

Sinning is not following the 10 commandments and what they say and mean.  Going against God and his commandments is sin.  If your following the 10 commandments and sin and then repent, it doesn't mean that your not going to be punished for it, you may very well be punished in some form or other. 

 2Pe 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 

If you sin and repent and never do it again, then your on the right path of righteousness. 

 We cannot appreciate the magnitude of God's gift of eternal life until we first understand that the wages of sin is death. Wages are what we "earned, " what we "deserve. " "Death" is not only physical death, here, but spiritual and eternal death. Our sin was an offense to the infinitely holy God, and thus justly deserved eternal punishment. But God's grace, which was greater than all our sin, brings us eternal life instead.
